The Institute for Strategic Solutions (ISR) is organizing an expert forum on the topic of data trust and security in the process of digital transformation. The forum will take place on 19 November 2024, at the premises of the Post Office of Slovenia in Ljubljana (entrance from Čopova Street).

Technology is a key driver of change in modern society, with data being the fundamental resource for developing advanced solutions, strengthening processes, and making informed decisions. It enables innovations in various fields such as artificial intelligence, healthcare, and finance, whilst understandably raising questions about privacy and security. According to the recent OECD OURData Index 2023, Slovenia ranks 7th among OECD countries in providing access to open data and promoting its use for the benefit of society and the economy. The forum will discuss how different sectors, from healthcare to banking, can harness the potential of data whilst respecting privacy and security. The focus will be on user experience and the exchange of credible data as the foundation of a modern digital society.

In the first part of the forum, guests from various sectors will exchange views on the key challenges and opportunities brought by digital transformation. They will discuss the balance between using data to improve quality of life and ensuring user security. The second part will be dedicated to presentations of best practices and exchange of experiences.
