The Institute for Strategic Solutions (ISR) was once again the proud program partner of the HEALTH 2022 business conference, which is part of media house Delo’s Business Center. The event took place on 14 September 2022 on the Ljubljana premises of the co-organizer, the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia.

The HEALTH 2022 business conference focused on key pillars of the future, such as healthcare and today’s healthcare system. Local and foreign experts discussed three areas: the key building blocks of a successful healthcare system, breakthrough solutions and innovations in light of progress, and the modern approach to a healthy individual life. We also touched on the importance of using secondary health data and the challenges in obtaining it.

The Institute for Strategic Solutions (ISR) has designed the From Words to Actions project, which included the organisation of the first regional Net-0 event. It took place on 6 September 2022 in the Minorite Church and two other locations in Maribor – the Old Vine Museum and the Old Vine House.

All transportation to the location was organised in a way that reduced greenhouse gas emissions to a minimum. We arrived in Maribor by train and continued the journey on bicycles and a Maister communal electric vehicle.

The scarlet thread of the NET-0 regional event were carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions. The purpose of both the project and the event was to connect representatives of corporations and companies, politicians, non-governmental organisations, international agencies, as well as innovators of breakthrough solutions and representatives of the financial community.

All the participants agree that these are the key elements of the future. Together, we searched for ideas for integrated solutions and sought out potential partners for cooperation.

The Institute for Strategic Solutions is proud to announce that it will be the program partner of the Mobility 2022 Business Conference. This year, 2022, the Delo Media Group is once again organizing the Mobility Conference, and this year it is titled ‘Smart Spaces for Living’.

The conference will take place at the Crystal Palace, BTC City Shopping Centre in Ljubljana on 15 June 2022, and will commence at 9 am.

The Mobility 2022 Business Conference will focus on different aspects of smart living space and how it can be developed to maximum advantage in the Western Balkans region.

Together with local and foreign guest speakers, we will address all the key benefits of living and working in a smart living environment, ranging from finding solutions for the individual, as well as the community, to doing business in the smart spaces of the future. The conference will be based on influential ideas and solutions currently being used by leading decision makers, and will also look at smart living spaces of the future.

Data, they say, is the fuel of the digital economy. As atoms, it interconnects, assembles and forms patterns that represent key building blocks of the technologies that shape our daily lives. However, the data alone cannot significantly change the situation or affect progress. For meaningful and successful management, we need to focus our energy on understanding and collecting data as well as identifying the appropriate patterns needed to create added value and quality opportunities.

Dr. Jure Stojan, partner and director of research and development at the Institute for Strategic Solutions (ISR), will talk about key pillars of data science, specifically touch on concepts and concepts that significantly contribute to modern data science and explain the opportunities that lie in owned or publicly available data. The aim of the seminar is to understand the main opportunities and pitfalls of data analysis, and to become an “educated consumer” of data analysis.

How can organisations contribute proactively to carbon neutrality? In June 2022, the Institute for Strategic Solutions (ISR) is planning  a NET-0 EVENT business forum. It will focus on the most crucial issue of our times –  climate change. We will discuss ways in which both companies and individuals can mitigate the effects of climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The purpose of the event is to bring together key representatives from companies, politics, NGOs, and international agencies, together with  innovators of breakthrough solutions and the financial community in a combined effort to try and find solutions to this serious and impending crisis. 

Only by working together, can we succeed.

All relevant stakeholders agree that carbon neutrality and net-zero emissions are our key goals for the future. However, sectoral strategies vary, and seldom address the whole problem by failure to adequately align supply chains to their stategy, and by omitting to include the problems of transition – both of which are significant challenges. Therefore, we will aim to highlight these issues, through a series of articles from different platforms, prior to the business forum. Our obective is to equip readers with access to new ideas, good practice and integrated processes that are environmentally responsible and proactive in their quest for a positive future with net-zero emissions by 2050.
